CLE Hop on hop off bus - sightseeing tour

Considering the fact that there has been a high number of Erasmus + participants coming from foreign countries in the past years, we have decided to create an English version of the tourist guide of Zvolen – the nearest town to Sliac. There are a lot of interesting places to see in Zvolen, so it was a tough task for our 8th grade students to pick only a few, i.e. six must-see bus stops on our imaginary HOP-ON HOP-OFF BUS ZVOLEN. Students were also supposed to use a grammatical structure “used to” where applicable (as a part of recycling English lesson on past habits) and to show their understanding of that structure. They also had to face a difficult challenge - to browse the information about their own chosen spot and to condense it into more easily understandable, simplified text containing only essential and most interesting facts about that place. 
As a part of IT class, students created the picture of the Zvolen bus using the prompt of the unique hop-on hop-off bus in London. Together we used interactive Google maps, planned a route and input the picture of our bus into the individual destinations. Our main goal was to put all the students´ works together and create an impressive eco –friendly e-guide book by using Calameo – interactive publishing platform. We even took it to the next level and recorded an AUDIO BOOK (actually by “we” we mean Dorotka   ). So her voice will follow you on your bus tour around town of Zvolen. All you need to do is to scan the QR code which is included in the guide (each spot has got its own unique code) and then tune into the audio version. We are proud of achieving our aim, which was actually creating a practical e-guide book for any visitors coming from abroad to explore the beauties of Zvolen.
