This work was carried out during the Tuesday afternoon Erasmus sessions. First, the pupils reflected on the meaning of the expression "Our ecological footprint" and then, during a discussion with the mathematics teacher, they targeted the different everyday actions that could leave "traces" on our planet and classified them by areas (housing, food, shopping, transport, waste).

 A questionnaire was created and distributed to each pupil so that they could discuss with their parents, complete it at home and return it the following week. The questionnaire was anonymous. 

During a following session, the pupils  filled in the boxes on a spreadsheet to calculate their ecological footprint. Summarizing the results, they made diagrams from the spreadsheet. They compared their results with other countries in the world. They made suggestions for reducing their ecological footprint.

Through this activity, the students became aware that their lifestyle has an impact on the environment
