ITS23 RSC Farewell dinner and certification

On Saturday evening, after a day spent in school and in host families, students, teachers and families gathered together in the school. Parents and teachers prepared traditional tastes of the region – homemade caponata, different kinds of pizza, calzonatas (with spinnach, riciotta cheese or mozarella), aranchini, and others. They also prepared traditional almond and lemon desserts.

The representatives of the city and local council were also invited. The principal welcomed all and thanked the familiesand school staff for all the effort they did during the week, so that students felt like home and learned a lot of new thingsin the frame of E4L project. Then the mayor of the city had a speech. The students and the teachers received thecertificates and small presents. Then they learned some local dances and listened to local music band that played Siciliansongs. In the end each participating school thanked to hosting families and Italian colleagues for the week activities.   

The farewell dinner was very emotional, warmhearted and generous. The students spent last moments with their new friends and had a good time. They took a lot of pictures and videos, to remember the learning mobility in Pachino, Sicily. They all felt well in hostingfalimies and their knowledge about history, geography and culture of Sicily improved a lot.
