Students were taught the Pirohy recipe and the different stages they had to follow to end up. They had to cooperate to look for all the cuisine tools they were going to use, to measure the ingredients, to mix the dough, to bake and control time and to fill them with delicious mixtures of potatoes, eggs, Bryndza cheese, and chives, and decorate with fried bacon, onion, chives and cream. 

The main steps of the recipe were given on a document to each group of students: peel the potatoes and cook them; when they are cold, grate or mash them; put 1/3 aside for the filling. 

The filling: add 1 egg, salt, chive and bryndza cheese to the bowl with the  potatoe and mix it all.

Dough: add flour, salt, 1 egg to the potatoes; miw everything to make dough, it cannot be very soft; in that case, add more flour. Take a dogh roller and roll out the dough. It should be 0,5 cm thick. Take a glass and cut circles; put one small spoon of filling on each piece.. Fold the circles and press the edges; take a fork and make the edges nicer.

Boil water with salt; put ten pieces of pirohy to boiling water: when they swim up, they are ready.

Chop onion and bacon and fry them in a pan. Serve pirohy with onion, bacon, cream and chives.

The foreign students enjoyed being able to cook a traditional Slovak recipe. They cooperated a lot.  The pleasure was to eat it at the end. Many were surprised how easy the process was and they kept the recipe to cook it at home.  All the students had fun with their partners and strengthened the relationship. They enjoyed it a lot.
