RSC Let's observe closely plastic waste

The « eco-delegate » students participated to a collaborative project named « Plastique à la loupe » proposed by the Tara Ocean foundation in collaboration with CNRS researchers. The students collected waste on Bray-Dunes'sbeach and had to sort and list them. They had to send the result to Tara Foundation. They also visited a nature reserve in Zuydcoote called « Dune Marchand » guided by the CPIE Flandre Maritime (local environmentalprotect center).

During a visioconference with the Tara Ocean Foundation students and teachers discovered the national results of waste analysis and could talk whith a CNRS researcher. They realised how important biodiversity and environmental protection are, and the value of a collective action : the result will influence political and europeandecisions.
