SL23 CIEE ART workshop Make a drawing

Pupils had a workshop about artistic creation and drawing. The teacher explain the rules, very simple, even for someone who doesn’t like drawing.

First step : for the backround , they made circles using  different colours of crayons, and they must layer the colours.

For the second step, the  instructions wera: draw a circle (lightly), find a centre,  draw horizontal and vertical line,  add diagonal lines , draw as many circles as you wish, draw lines lightly.

And, finally,  the  instructions of the last step  : use a black marker and draw basic outline - apply diagonal symetry (top, bottom, left, right) - fill the outline with patterns Repeat the pattern. - thick and thin marker Change the pattern. Lines and shapes. The teacher proposed a lot of patterns with a video.

Pupils had fun with this workshop and produced nice drawings for themselves; They could see that they were able to create artistic things following very simple rules and methods. They were really creative and concentrated.
