FR22 SEC Bateau Feu Theatre - shadow play
30 avr. 2022The theatrical performance was a shadow play. It highlighted the mastery of artists with simple tools and common physical phenomena to prepare an interesting performance. Pupils learned to perceive culture and theater a little differently than they were used to. The performance without words activated their imagination and they had to perceive the course of the story all the more. The etiquette of cultural behavior in the theater was improved too. They learned about the historical context of Dunkirk culture through a story. The story depicted the social situation of the poor at the time. They also considered how light rays work in terms of physics, how and under what circumstances the shadow of an object is formed.
They could observe how detailed the parts of the theatre - scenery and puppets, projection and decorations were. Moreover, the music and the parts of actor and actress were all in one rythm.
The cultural impression was very good, as the show was almost without words, pupils could concentrate on main idea of the story and not on foreign language.
