FRG23 SEC Traditional Games

During the day the students had the chance to know old and new kind of games. They were divided in two French and Desiradienne in the morning, Italian, Slovak and Desiradienne in the afternoon. The first game was a competition in two,there were two boxes that tilted, you had to put two pieces of wood inside and pulling a rope to keep the box in balance without the woods placed standing in the box not falling. In the second game, there was a wooden base with pegs, you had to throw a plastic hoop from a distance and get it into one of the pegs which, of course, had different scores from 10 to 100. The third game, could be done in teams or one on one and was a kind of memory game. There was a wooden board with glass marbles of different colors. This axis with the colored balls was covered after a few seconds and you had to arrange other colored balls in the same order as those seen. The fourth was instead a game of skill. There was an obliquely arranged panel on which was drawn a path with a hole at the end. You had to bring the ball to the hole through the marked path. This ball was placed inside a kind of wooden box which was pulled by two strings. The fifth and final game was one of both skill and speed. You had to spin a wheel with two sticks and run first forward towards a goal and then quickly return to the starting point always spinning the wheel with the two sticks

The kids, but also us teachers, had the opportunity not only to get to know traditional Creole games, but also to be able to have fun thanks to games made with recycled materials. In this way, the bonds between the students were also strengthened thanks to a positive competition made through play.
