There are people who consider Friday the 13th an unlucky day, they are superstitious. But our Erasmus teams could not be discouraged and on 13th January they went on an learning activity to the overseas part of France - Guadeloupe. Slovak group set off an hour after midnight and got off the plane at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris at 9:00 AM. The flight to Guadeloupe departed at 15.15PM, so they used the 6-hour stopover to visit the most famous sights in Paris: the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees, the Eiffel Tower, the Czar Alexander III Bridge, the Great and Small Palaces, next to the Place de la Concorde, they glimpsed the dome of the Invalides Cathedral, where Napoleon's tomb is located. Laterthey continued along the Seine to the Tuileries Gardens and towards the Louvre. On the other bank, they could see the Museum D'Orsay, the building of the National Council. The last stop was the Church of Notre Dame. It was a pity that itwas still surrounded by cranes and scaffolding after the fire. The main aim of the stopover was to see the sights in reality, to walk arounf them, to feel the history, the listen to the sounds of the capital.

Paris is always beautiful and the Slovaks were glad that they managed to see at least something of it. After they had returned back to the airport, they met the team from Dunkirk at the airport and after an 8-hour flight they landed in Point á Pitre, Guadeloupe at 18.50 local time. They used the 5-hour time difference for a short walk on the beach. And so theycan say that Friday the 13th was not bad luck day at all.
