We arrived at 9 at the lapidaire place of work, a lady the owner of the shop and activity welcomed us and told us what is their work about. Then she introduced us the stone cutter, the man who choose the stones and cut and work them in order to transform them in jewels. He showed to our students how to choose a stone, how to draw a shape, how to cut it and in the end how to work it, through different steps of modelling, give a shape, brush and in the end polish. After the explanations, all the students, in group of 6 started doing their own jewel. At the beginning they were a little scared about the using of the machines, but in the end all their works were excellent.

In the end students get self-confidence, they were able to make a jewel and they cooperated with the stone cutter understanding how hard and patient is this kind of work.
