FR22 AA Nausicaá - the largest aquarium in Europe30 avr. 2022
In the morning we went by bus to Boulogne Sur Mer to visit the largest aquarium in the world Nausicaá. It is the home of more than 1600 species. Some of them are really special , sea lions, some sharks and others. Pupils spent 3 hours there and they were really busy to see all parts of exposition on different levels. They could also see machines and submarines that help people to explore the sea and its secrets. In the central part with the big window they could observe the relaxing way of swimming of different fish, from small ones to big ray and shark. In the final part there was a touch tank where they could touch the fish and ray. The panels in whole aquarium were full of interesting information which were in English and French. Aslo aquarium provides special lectures about environmental protection and supporting cleanliness of the sea.
The aquarium was a great place to learn. The real animals are always better idea to teach than using pictures only as a method.
